Amu-Bukhara irrigation system Rehabilitation project (financed by JICA)

Project Description:

This project intends to modernize existing two (2) pumping stations in the irrigation system of Amu Bukhara; Namely pumping stations “Amu-Bukhara-II” and “Kizil Tepa-I”. The project is co-financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which will modernize four (4) pumping stations, build a pumping station, Rehabilitate twenty-two (22) key regulatory and / or deflecting structures on the main canal, and others. The project will provide sufficient water resources to local farmers, which can increase their agricultural productivity.

Provided services:

  • Preparation of detailed project for modernization of pumping stations “Amu-Bukhara-II” and “Kyzyl-Tepa-1”:
  • Carry out all necessary surveys and site surveys for pumping stations and all associated structures
  • Prepare detailed designs of pumping stations and all structures
  • Prepare working quantities
  • Construction supervision (including field supervision);
  • Promotion of the implementation of the Environmental Management Plan,
  • Environmental Monitoring Plan;
  • Transfer of technology
